Can I just say thank you for the most fantastic night. Everyone has been raving about your show the whole night. What a fantastic mix of music you played - 50's, 80's, modern stuff. And what was great as well was that all the music ran together. The dancefloor was never empty all night. Tonight has been our greatest success of this event so far with £115,000 being raised and having you guys play. Thank you very much. You were absolutely excellent.

Hi Marji, Just read your latest blog……. must have been some night with a full ship and a good old singsong in the lounge…….wish I was there! Mel is in St Louis Missouri for a few days. A fellow Air Force friend is retiring and we were invited to his retirement ceremony. I unfortunately did not have any leave left plus next week I have to undergo surgery on my knee. I am at home alone this weekend (and loving it but only because I know he will be back on Wednesday. Looking forward to seeing some photos if you do the Abba night, sounds like it will be a great laugh. Take good care and keep good thoughts, Annette x

Hi there, I’m so sorry for not contacting you sooner than this but life has been quite hectic since July (I’d set up my own business earlier this year and things were and have been pretty busy for me!)

Our wedding reception what can I say! Jim and I were absolutely delighted with both you and the band - you just added to what was a truly brilliant day for us. You were knockout, our guests raved about how great the band was on the night, and since the reception we’ve had umpteen thank you notes from our guest and all have mentioned what a fantastic time they had and how they enjoyed listening to and dancing to your music.

Thanks especially for the time you took with Zoe, Emma, and Oliver they were just thrilled at being in the spotlight and had a great time as it was their first ever Scottish wedding and was a real eye opener for them. My only regret was that it was all over too soon - I could have gone on for hours!

Good luck for the future, and I can honestly say that if I were to recommend a band for a wedding reception it would certainly be Atlantic Soul.

Thanks soooooooo much for your wonderful entertainment at our wedding on 23rd July at Merchiston Castle School. Everybody thought you were absolutely brilliant and you were just what we needed to have a huge party! Not a single person was sitting down - it was fabulous!!! The choice of songs was perfect and thank you so much for putting up with the requests from Kevin's New York friends (mad bunch but had such a blast!). Well we have definately come back to earth with a bang. we went away to Barra for a week and although the weather wasn't great it was just the break we needed. You and the band were fantastic! We too had a feeling about you and you def made our wedding go with a bang! Thank you sooo much for learning Tiny Dancer and embarressing me with the Londoner song! My only regret is that we should have videoed the dancing as I can't remember so many parts of the eve - went so quick! Though i do remember you getting a sneaky dance with my hubby! Hope he didn't capture you for too long! Also love the Abba bit!! We loved every moment of the night and soo many people commented on how good you were. My guests could not stop raving on how good the band were, many asking if they were friends of ours as they were soo lovely. They made an tremendous effort to learn our first dance (which was much appreciated) and do another wee song at the beginning – making the music feel personal to us. We hadn’t asked for any ceilidh dancing but a few songs were a welcome surprise and provided much fun in the dancing area.

Atlantic Soul are band that have the best front woman anyone could ask for. Her energy and drive extend from her through to the rest of the band, giving them a tight, family feel. They read the crowd brilliantly – changing tempo where needed and listened to our requests for certain songs. Nobody seemed to have a bad word to say about the band except they didn’t play for long enough! We would have had them there till 4am if we could!! From young to old - everyone found a tune they could dance to and the bride did not leave the floor all night!

"All band members were friendly and helpful, as always. We had already established a rapport with the band, and we knew they were our kind of "people". Very professional turn out. Marj kept us informed every step of the way and we knew exactly what to expect. Effective Communication? Very much so. Communication was mainly via e-mail. She was very helpful and we felt that she went out of her way to ensure that we were happy with everything. Marj is very organised and this gives an overall good impression of the band. Everyone felt that the band was the "icing on the cake" of an already perfect day! And a fantastic night was made all the more special by the fact that the band went out of their way to learn a particular song that meant so much to us both….thankyou guys and well done! We would absolutely recommend them. Absolutely yes! A relative has already tried to book the band for her wedding, but unfortunately the date is not available."

You were all great and the music was just what we wanted - the most frustrating thing was hearing the music while we were circulating and speaking to guests and not being able to get up and dance as much as we normally would!!

We are just back from our honeymoon in Australia, hence the delay in this note. Thank you so much to everyone in the band for doing such a fantastic job at the wedding. The comments from family and friends have ranged from "outstanding musicians, could have danced all weekend, fabulous entertainers". We both made a conscious effort to dance as much as we could and not let the evening slip by. I was hard pushed to stop Steven dancing with all the other women! Can't thank you enough for adding a star contribution to our day.
