Band Biography:

Atlantic Soul Showband, a scaleable showgroup (from 7pc down to a duo) whose unique style has seen them tour throughout the UK and internationally. They have starred at a wide variety of functions, from small intimate private parties to large corporate events and dinner dances, and from holiday park theme nights to large open air festivals. Prestigious weddings and Corporate Events are their speciality. Atlantic Soul personify top quality entertainment coupled with consummate professionalism and many years of experience.

Atlantic Soul Showband performs the whole spectrum of dance music from the 50’s through to present day chart hits, as well as classic soul, motown and disco. For weddings, a short optional ceilidh set can be incorporated if required, as well as additional ceremony music and additional small dinner jazz combo.

They have earned the reputation as one of the most exciting showbands performing in the UK and undoubtedly the best female-fronted showband in Scotland! With up to four powerful vocalists (including both male and female lead vocals in any size lineup), a superb 4 piece rhythm section and live brass with our gorgeous female sax player, Atlantic Soul work as a 7pc down to a 2pc band. Atlantic Soul gives it’s own special treatment to hits from all decades, with costume changes, choreographed dance routines and excellent state-of-the-art sound, light and multimedia systems to make a great all round entertainment spectacular, one that audiences remember for a very long time. The past 50 years have given us some of the best music of all time. Atlantic Soul have worked their magic to bring you their sensational show, keeping the best of the greatest music very much alive.

Atlantic Soul is a very well-established, experienced and respected live showband who perform ONLY at Corporate Events, Weddings, Civil Partnerships, Charity Balls, Functions & Festivals. The 2 founders of the band notch up an impressive partnership of 15 years writing, arranging and performing together all over Scotland, England and internationally and brought this experience with them when founding Atlantic Soul many years ago. With their solid knowledge of what audiences want and experience of performing it in that time, they had a vision in 1999 of a large showband performing classic soul, motown & disco to corporate audiences. The vision became a reality and the band did exactly that, almost from the word go. Atlantic Soul Showband has evolved over the years and now, as well as the classic soul, motown and disco they began with, they now perform danceable hits from every genre of music and all decades from the 1950s to today's current chart hits. They are most professional and reliable, NEVER having cancelled a gig EVER in their professional careers. Have played in, probably by now, just about all of the top venues in the country and beyond including Gleneagles, Dalmahoy, Marcliffe at Pitfodels, Houstoun House Hotel, Cameron House Hotel, all the Hydros, all the big Hiltons, most of the Macdonald Hotels, Moathouse / Crowne Plaza, Glasgow, Inchyra Grange, St James's Park Newcastle, Forte Resort Sardinia, AECC, SECC, Queens Hotel Aberdeen, Elphinstone Hall, Town Halls, marquees large and small, outdoor festivals, huge stage on 4 tiers to fitting into a bay-window in a wee hotel, too many Castles and Country Houses to mention and name any of the smaller hotels, castles or country houses - we've probably played it.
